To Obsess Or Not To Obsess Over Skateboarder/ Model Josh Wald? Okay, so since my hair-cut episode (see Blog.11) I've been thinking, "I need to stop obsessing so much over my favorite male model." The first step is to recovery is admitting you have a problem. So I thought I could start dousing my burning obsession by not logging onto the Josh Wald Yahoo! group site. Well, this past weekend I received a Group notice that there were new photos on the site. I skipped the numerous e-mails awaiting my immediate attention and clicked away at lightening speed to check out the pics. Faster than you can say "Hot and Spicy!" Simply Joshin' about Skateboarder/ Model Josh Wald. I wanted to make it easier for my fellow Josh groupies to find my Josh postings, so this week I decided to create this blog spot, Simply Joshin'. You might be asking, "Why? Why go to all the trouble?" --- Well, as I've mentioned for 12 straight postings, I'm simply obsessed.

"Can You Make Me Look Like Skateboarder/ Model Josh Wald?" They say, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Well, I don't know if it's because 1.) I'm bored, 2.) I just wanted something interesting to blog about or 3.) I really, really dig his ESQUIRE Magazine photos (read Blog.8). Whatever the reason, I needed a haircut so yesterday I decided to ask my stylist, Coletti, to cut my hair to look just like Josh Wald's. When I showed her the magazine pics she was kind of hesitant. My face isn't as thin and my neck isn't as long as my favorite model's, but she gave it a shot. Afterward Coletti admitted that the new do was "a very complimenting and stylish look" for me. She also liked the fact that the style was a great change from my usual slicked down hair with a spiky tiara. To keep the natural look in place my stylist used a great pomade by Cibu called Sticky Rice. For more info visit: http://www.cibuinternational.com/ . When I inspected the finished results, using her handheld mirror, I gave a great big silly grin as I saw Josh's hair on my head. --- Now, if I start posing for pictures sporting tattoos and holding a skateboard, call the men in white, pronto!

"You've Got Male" Model/ Skateboarder Josh Wald. Ooops!!! As mentioned in Blog.9 I am not too computer savvy. So the night-into morning that I was transferring photos of my favorite male model, from the Josh Wald Yahoo! Group site to my Yahoo! 360 Page, I accidentally e-mailed the photos to someone who did not appreciate them one bit. He's been on a diet for sometime and thought that I purposely sent him the shirtless photos in order to show him what I thought he should aim to look like. Ouch! --- Good thing I didn't download any of the tasteful, yet naughty Josh pics on the site.

Picture Perfect Skateboarder/ Model Josh Wald. Last Friday evening I figured out how to add photos from the Josh Wald Yahoo! Group Site to my Yahoo! 360 Page. I wanted to select just the right pictures that I felt captured his appeal. Well, I'm not very computer savvy so it took me till 3:39a.m. Saturday to finally finish. Plus I still had to go to work at the store later that day! --- Wow, even more proof that I'm totally obsessed.

Desperately Seeking Skateboarder/Model Josh Wald. As I mentioned in Berto's Blog.5, Josh was featured in a fashion spread for the April 2006 issue of ESQUIRE. Well, since I was just returning to work I decided to wait until my first good payday to buy the issue. I figured I could just read the magazine at Border's in the meantime. However, this past weekend, when payday finally came around, I went to Border's and noticed that the next issue was now on the newsstand! I had waited too long! Quickly, I rushed to other nearby stores in hopes of finding this important issue, but they either had the new issue or did not carry ESQUIRE. Finally, after a loooong search, I went to Kroger's grocery store and found it. Whew!!! --- With the current cost of fuel I think I spent more money on gas than on the price of the magazine.

Skateboarder/ Model Josh Wald Is Missing!!! One of the perks of working in a department store was getting to view Josh's face on a daily basis. He was featured last year on posters in the Men's Claiborne clothing section, located near the drinking fountain. Well, during my leave of absence, the Visual Crew updated the pictures for Spring and now someone else is the Claiborne poster boy. Eeeeekkk!!! This new model doesn't have a memorable mug, nor does he ooze with sex appeal like Josh. Passing by that section has lost all it's thrill. --- Needless to say, I'm not as thirsty at work anymore.

I've never heard anyone else mention this, but I think that being a father to small children makes a straight guy somehow seem sexier, even the ones who don't look like "Sears catalog models". Since returning to work in a department store, I sure have noticed those pretty daddies pushing strollers down the aisles or holding hands with their adorable, tiny toddlers. I guess it's the gay-maternal side of me that gets stirred up, or maybe it's just me responding to the sight of a straight man, with his guard down, publicly revealing his tender, loving side. ---Sigh!

Now, about Skateboarder/Model Josh Wald. What can I say? The only way this guy could look any hotter was if he was pushing a baby buggy! --- YEOWZA!

He's in magazines, on the web, on department store posters and on the mind's of many gays and straights alike. It's been a year now and I'm still obsessing.
