Josh Wald: Skateboarder/ Model/...Sinfully Hot! This week on the Web I came upon this hideous picture of my favorite obsession. It was probably taken the same night as the "Sad Bunny" pic (see Blog.16). Josh was obviously drunk and never intended the photo to be made public. Boy, does he look wasted.

The picture got me to thinking... If Josh was my date for the evening, AND UGLY, and I caught him posing for this stupid shot I'd probably yell at him, dump him and leave in a huff. But since he's a HOT STUD, I'd more than likely just cover Josh up with a blanket, pour him a cup of strong coffee, take off the silly wig and tenderly brush his hair as we sat on the edge of a bed. "All is forgiven baby, because you're SO DARN HOT". Admit it, you'd probably do the same. In the minds of most folks, "HOTNESS" covers a multitude of sins.

Josh Wald: Skateboarder/ Model/Sad Bunny. A few weeks ago one of my fellow groupies at the JW Yahoo! Group site added a very strange picture of Josh to the photo gallery. It was a candid shot of him, obviously taken with an amateur's camera, posed against what looked like a living-room wall. He's wearing a pair of pink, party bunny ears with a very sad and despondent look on his face. I found it disturbing. A picture is worth a thousand words and every sentence in that photo looks painful. Is he sad, lonely, tired, embarrassed,... drunk? Only the photographer and model know for sure. But for the first time I saw Josh as a normal person with normal feelings instead of the gorgeous, problem free, SUPERMODEL I always fantasized him to be. Am I reading too much into the picture? Maybe. But there's something about it that still haunts me so many weeks later.
